My Sacred Garden
Outdoor Living To Grow Your Mind, Body & Spirit

John Stuart Leslie, MLA is creator and founder of My Sacred Garden. A website designed to help raise awareness of how the sacred-spiritual aspects of gardens and gardening activities can have a transformative effect on the mind, body and spirit/soul. He holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and has been a landscape designer and licensed contractor since 1982.

The ideas presented on this website basically reflect the merging of two distinct areas of interest, or lifestyles: gardens, gardening, landscaping and that of (for lack of a better term) "spirituality", which I fold into the marketing term called "Lifestyles of Sustainability and Health". Sustainability is just a more sophisticated way of saying "being green" including the greening of society and consciousness. Health includes people wanting to improve not only their physical health, but that of their minds and spritual development.

My targeted audience are people who have interests and values beyond 'mainstream'. People who can see through gardening content that is repeated on hundreds of websites and is often so basic and shallow that it becomes useless. This website was written with the intention to provide value to its visitors, with creative articles and ideas that are remarkable, stuff that you would want to share with other like minded people.

Part of my mission in bringing you interesting ideas, tips and how-to information about gardens, designing and often with a 'spiritual' twist, is to offer my design services. I can truly say that I have a passion for designing and coming up with ideas. I get into a certain state of mind, not unlike those moments when you seem to lose track of time while gardening.

I believe that design is one of my greatest skills, and I choose not to limit that gift to those who live in my local area. So I have developed an online version of my design services to help those who want to learn more about how to design their own landscape and gardens at http://www.virtualgardendesigner.com It is a website that compliments this site but has more design focused and more conventional landscape and garden information.

I would be most grateful if you would give me some feedback by going to this online survey. As a thank you gift, I have prepared the following which you will receive upon completing the questions.
